Biography
Philipp Kukura is Professor of Chemistry at the University of Oxford and Official Fellow for Physical Chemistry at Exeter College. His research focusses on the development and application of new optical methodologies to study (bio)molecular structures and dynamics. A particular focus rests on the use of light scattering through interferometric scattering microscopy (iSCAT) to visualise and quantify biomolecular interactions. This technology has the potential to transform how we study life, understand what goes wrong in disease, and design, characterize and optimize avenues for intervention.
